Cleanliness
There is a deep beauty in being clean, mentally and physically.
Earl Nightingale, a well known motivational speaker produced a personal development work a number of years ago entitled, " THE STRANGEST SECRET".
What he went on to prove was that there was a very real connection between our mind and our bodies and where our lives end up leading.
And it's true what he says. If we put rubbish into our minds we'll only get rubbish out. It will be evident in our speech and the way we conduct ourselves. If we fill our minds with peaceful, morally sound things, again, it will become obvious to others.
Physically, it is no different. Our bodies respond well to a clean environment. This is why we need to maintain a clean environment in our homes. Studies have proven the connection between the build up of parasites in and on our bodies when we neglect this important function and as these live off our organism, they often transfer pathogens to our systems which tax their defences and often break through them.
The message is clear then. There is a connection between health and cleanliness, and not just a tenuous one. It is solid and has substance. When we examine people that have developed habits that promote cleanliness in mind and body, often we are amazed at what they seem to be able to achieve.

7 Habits of Highly Effective People
So what do we have to consider?
Several things and each equally important.:
1. How to keep our minds clean
2. How to keep our bodies clean
3. How to keep our environment clean.
If we get these under control, we have the odds stacked in our favour of having a healthy lifestyle and longevity from our bodies.
Take some time to study the works in the adjacent columns. These have been carefully selected to educate us and promote a clean lifestyle both mentally and physically.
Our bodies and minds are amazingly complex, so we can't expect to know everything about them in a short period of time. Patience - allowing ourselves time to aquire the necessary knowledge, and perseverence - sticking to the task, will provide us with the opportunity to grow rapidly and in a productive manner that will not only be good for us but also for our families.
Habits are critical. When we don't feel like doing things we know we should, often it's our routine and habits that carry us through. So what are our habits like? Where can we improve? Do our habits promote cleanliness?
These are good to think about. Study those around you. Compare those with clean habits to others who haven't yet aquired the skills and draw your own conclusions. Read at least some or all of the works shown here and seek to put them into practice and keep a diary of the results. You may be spectacularly surprised.
